Tell Your Senators to VOTE NO on the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act (S.5653)

The Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act (S.5653) – or BAAJA – attacks the Endangered Species Act, even though it isn't responsible for permitting delays. A peer-reviewed study found not one project stopped or extensively altered due to the presence of imperiled species. In fact, most reviews under the ESA took just two weeks.

BAAJA won't solve America's permitting problems. But it will threaten imperiled wildlife. The bill would also lock in fossil fuel dependence, open treasured public lands to development, weaken clean water protections and undermine Tribal sovereignty and public oversight.

We can build infrastructure without sacrificing America's wildlife, public lands and conservation heritage. The Senate must reject this false choice and vote NO on BAAJA.
